The "Panorama Weekend" is taking place for the ninth time as part of the Neisse Film Festival. From May 17 to 19, Centrum Panorama in Czech Varnsdorf is showing historical films and cinematic milestones in opulent 70mm technology and in special 35mm and 3D versions. Without a doubt the highlight of the series, however, is "Oppenheimer" by Christopher Nolan.

Als Vorgeschmack und Warm Up zum 21. Neiße Filmfestival zeigen wir am 23. und 25. April in Hörsälen der Hochschule Zittau-Görlitz zwei Preisträgerfilme aus dem vergangenen Jahr. Zu sehen sind Dienstag um 19 Uhr in Görlitz der Dokumentarfilm "Drei Frauen" von Maksym Melnyk und Donnerstag um 19 Uhr in Zittau der Spielfilm "Franky Five Star" von Birgit Möller.

Im Rahmen des 21. Neiße Filmfestivals findet am 16. Mai ab 19 Uhr im Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater in Zittau "Ein Abend für Thomas Brasch" statt. Marion Brasch und Masha Qrella ehren den Schriftsteller, Dramatiker, Autor und Regisseur mit einem faszinierenden Mix aus Texten, Filmen und Indie-Pop-Songs.

On May 14, the 21st Neisse Film Festival will begin in Zittau's theater with a film in line with this year's special Focus theme of "Female Perspectives". The drama "Elbow" by Aslı Özarslan, based on Fatma Aydemir's novel of the same name, is an intense portait of a young woman who pays a high price to free herself from the projections of the society around her.

Under the title of "Female Perspectives" the special focus series in this year's festival program will be dedicated to the female perspective in more than just cinema. In addition to a wide range of films, there will also be a reading, concerts and an exhibition.
